I have burned out three regulators in the last 6 months. I have the field terminal hooked to switched ignition and the positive terminal to the battery. What am I doing wrong?
Bad ground or intermittent ground causing a voltage spike? Check your alt case ground. Giving an engine a good healthy rev at start up, (cause it sounds so badazz) will get the same results. Alt will go full charge before the regulator can grab it and ground out the access, keeping the voltage at, or below 14.4 volts. Sniper
