This time, it's not for me.

Bought this for my dad, for his birthday. He's been wanting a '49 for a long time, and seeing me super busy with my projects, I guess he thought it was time for him to start up again.

Not entirely sure what he was thinking of doing. Probably a new motor and trans and some body work. Overall, the truck is pretty solid. Floors are toast, but that's the worst of the rust.

If he swaps the motor, I'll gladly take the flathead and trans. :D

Happy birthday pops.

That looks pretty dang cool as is... a little lowering and you have a nice rat :)

Any idea on his plans?

Holy smokes does it ever need to be lowered. I counted 30 leafs on the rear axle.

I think he wants to run a 302/C6 combo. Probably leave the paint/body as is. He's a general contractor...slowly looking to retire. This will be his shop truck.

I'll do the grunt work, and he's the designer...haha
