I have a front beam axle from a '49 Ford F1. It has drum brakes (original) now. I would like to remove the ford hubs and all and replace them with Chevrolet 5 x 4 3/4 inch pattern, still have drum brakes (chevy). Anyone know what chevy hubs and bearings and stuff would fit on the Ford Spindles? Thanks, and Happy Holidays. Perley

It would be much easier and cheaper to have your Ford hubs & drums redrilled with the Chevy pattern. Any local machine shop should be able to do it for you...

I agree w/ Blue Eyed Devil, it would bee simpler, and then if brake parts/bearings, etc. are needed it would all still be from the old ford...probably be cheaper too
however, if you find a combination to adapt like you want-post the info, thanks, HRP

It would be easier to redrill drums,we had a machine shop do ours, not that expensive. You maybe find a disc brake conversion kit but there your talkin some $.
