I'm on a COE kick right now,
I have 3, 47 Ford 49.Chevy,53 Chevy
On this 53 COE I'm leaving nature's aged patina as it is,with only maybe some clear coat & pinstripping.
One of my problem's is I'm in between on wether to put a dually front & rear suspenion,or....
Do I go with a regular Chevy 1/2 ton truck suspenion?.I have both chassis so that's not an issue.
I also have the longer 3/4 ton 1950 chevy bed & I also have a flat bed.????
It might seem like a no brainer to some, but I'm just not sure which way to go.
I am building this truck to sell.so I have to take that into account.
Which chassis would be more desireable?
I'm kinda leaning toward's the dually set up with the 50 chevy long bed,
I think it would look good.
Any comment's / question's ?
Righteous....t

Charley My wifes uncle has one of these in arkansas just north of batesville. He is taking to the scrap yard, you could get for scrap price. But you have need to hurry...maybe he didnt cut it up today!

set it on a motorhome cassis with a cusom flatbed and make a cool hauler for your'e other rods:D

Later:cool:

Hey Skull....
The frame that's under it now is pretty strong as it is,it's original,
all I'd need do is stretch it alittle & put the dually front & rear under it.
The rear leaf spring's are almost exact in their position as my newer truck rear is,& the front of the frame is close enough in width to use the front stuff also.

cantwell.colton....
dually flat bed! thats my 2cents.

Could ya'll picture the dually set up with the long pick up bed,
too bad the wern't made that way originally.
They look like a pickup on steroids !
The flat bed is also cool,I have a nice bed that would haul a car or truck....

hauler

here is a 1941 dodge coe car hauler.

a 1946 chevy coe car hauler.

just a few ideas,

I always liked those trucks, I saw a 54 chevy the other day sitting out by a house but didnt stop to see if it was for sale, they may have made me an offer I couldnt refuse.LOL

skull is on the right track - those are basically exactly what i had in mind ---
youd have a day hauler and car hauler AND be the coolest rig around :)
i wonder if i can talk my boss into using one at the shop as a day hauler lol

Here's some from my COE picture collection I have taken at various shows.....I really like em.
