The thin stainless sheet metal intake would acually almost ice up the mixture going threw created lot of condenstion, shoulda kept the carbon down in the head. Tried clear lexan so we could see what was going on but the heat created cracks in the intake. Thanks for the coments.

This old 52 pickup made one heck of a test vechicle. The motor was put threw with single ford 2 barrel. Then two of them on a slab intake of which if low is good high rise should be better. Then came the 871 blower, getting it setting on the stock in take was a horse of a differt color, after mounting it was longer then the six cyl. was rite up against the cowl. Contacted a major blower co. and they said it was virtually impossibe and shouldnt do it. When you are young and full of it that means full steam ahead. Its amazing what you can do if you don't know you can't. Sure you all have all been there or there wouldn't be half of this stuff on this site. Now years later the blower company is pushing 871 over 671 because you can run with less rpm on drive and have a cooler gas mixture Imagen that. My moto sometimes a big blower big tires you canfill in the rest with about anything because it will be a head turner. thats just my two cents kicking in. lol thanks for looking.
