Hello all, I have a T-5 B/W from a '91 Chevy S-10 truck. I am going to put on a hydraulic clutch slave. Question is, how much does the clutch fork lever need to move to disengage the clutch? Perley [S

Thanks very much for that Jim. Now another question -- how in the world does one get a hole in the clutch fork arm? It is tougher than nails and more! I have been playing with that for over an hour this morning, and my drill bits barely make a mark on it. And of course it's in a very congested (cramped) area! What if I made a small hole with a cutting torch and then enlarge the hole with a drill bit? Would the heat weaken the arm? Thanks. Perley

I use carbide masonry bits to drill hard metal.
I use a green carbide grinding stone too make it very sharp.
Depends what size hole, if it's up to 1/4" be fine if bigger start with 1/4' then go to the size you need.
If you blow a hole with a torch it won't hurt the arm but, you still won't be able to drill it just break bits.

Jim
