I stopped off at a small hot rod show at a local transmission shop in san antonio, and i was walking around looking at hot rods and dwayne was there. He is a pretty nice guy in person.
Their shop is right around the corner from me and I have been there many times.
Dwayne has let me wander the shop area unescorted, taking photos of what ever I want.
He actually is a nice guy.
They usually have a lot of very interesting projects going on that you never see unless you are in the shop. Lots of cool ideas, just need to adjust them accordingly for my build.
I have never been there on a shooting day, but I have never seen any of the B.S. that you see on TV.
Just guys doing what they do best.
A random stop at Boyd's one afternoon is what got me back into rods after many years away.
A consignment track roadster is what rekindled the urge, but not worth $18,000.00 and that was 5 years ago.
And the high dollar show room stuff doesn't do a thing for me.
But it did reawaken the urge..... '22
