eng swap

I have a 47 ford pu and want to put a 302 ford eng in it. I want to make my own eng- mounts. How hard is it and what do I need. this is my frist build . and will the stock front axle work with this eng- i will be replacing the rear diff with a 9" ford later. thank for any help on this

If this is your first build you might want to go ahead and spend a little money to make things easier. Your first project can be overwhelming. Sure you can do just about everything yourself but when you start to see how much time it will take you your often better of spending at least a little cash and saving some time. For about 100 bucks you can get one of these:

If you have to do it yourself you can get some angle iron, or weld 2 piece together to make and angle and box the sides and make your perches that way.

I think speedway has swap mounts for sbf/sbc into the forty's era fords hafta double check tho.
