We have two Stevie CD's at the shop and blast him quite a bit. Pure genius, too bad his life was cut short.

But my very favorite song of all time is "My Old School" by Steely Dan. The song is just such a mix of rock and jazz that it is musically interesting to me. The guitar solo is just off the wall and so innovative. The horn section in the background is just perfect too.

Pink Floyd is the reason I unknowingly fell in love with Hiwatt! Loved that sweet tube sound and had to get it. So a few years back I picked up a 1979 DR103 with the 4x12 cab! OMG, I crank it whenever I can!

Robert Plant was my second favorite behind Alvin Lee.

There was also a sweet folksy kind of guitar run called Doc's Tune on the first Pure Prarie League album but I can't find it on the tube.

What a great thread! Best guitar licks. Where to start. So many great guitarists. Some of my favs are Clapton, Matthias Jabs, Eddie Van Halen, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh, Randy Rhoads, Chuck Berry, Brian May, Brian Setzer, and the list goes on and on.
