Flywheel Interchange

Ok,,if a flywheel has the same bolt pattern as the crank and is the same diameter as say the original,,,could you use it ?? or is there a balance issue??

There could be a balance issue, depending upon if the flywheel was manufactured for an internally or externally balanced engine and if the engine is itself internally or externally balanced. The other issues would be the flywheel offset and the size and number of the gear teeth.
