Found some old tin, wanna share the pics!

In my everlong search for a cab to use... My bro'n'law and I came across this puppy. Can someone help ID the year? early 40's? I don't have the 'eye' for it yet...
I have a bad feeling about it, but hopefully the owner will part with it. it's been sitting in the woods for over 15 years, and just recently (last month) they cleared out like 30 cars from those same woods to the crusher
I was too late. Too bad I didn't know about them until now!

Oh and heres a old mechanic's personal parts yard. Needless to say I've recently befriended this guy
He isn't looking to sell anything right now, but he's "always starting/givingup/finishing projects that can be sold to ya"... so I'm keeping in touch with him.

Edit: And Oh, that 1st pic of that blue truck.. he's put over 600,000 miles on it personally. wore out frames, suspensions, motors, but that thing has always been around with him. it's LCA's sit about 2" off the ground B)

thats a 47 to 53 Chevy most likely 3600

All I'm interested in is the cab, and it didn't seem to have much rot on it. so we'll see if he'll part with it. I'd love to run a dually setup too... so maybe I can get the whole shebang from the guy! we'll see. he's about 1.5 hrs away so I have to plan my trips wisely

Abomb was right. It's a '47-'51. You can tell by the pull-down handles and the absence of vent windows.

The patina and door graphics on the 3600 Chevy rock!! If you can grab it, go for it. You'll be hard pressed to find anything else that comes close to that.

That's the one I'd want. I know we both have a thing for 37 Chevy trucks.
