I am trying to determine approximate ride height using a 6 leaf Mr Roadster front spring. The spring stands about 6" tall unloaded. I was planning to remove the two smaller leaves for a little softer ride, that would also lower it about a 1/2". I plan to use a 351w and C4 tranny. With that weight, how much would the spring flatten out or compress?

Usually you can figure on 2 inch drop for most open wheel cars, removing the two short leaves may give you another 1/2 to 3/4 inch drop due to the softer spring.

Keep in mind the shorter springs also keep the longer springs from collasping. You may find that it lowers it a little a rides ok until you take a good hit from a bump and the spring doesn't return properly.
