When you get a helmet get the Miller Digital Elite.
It's pricey but, well worth the money. It has an X mode that lets you use it in the sunlight without it darkening from the sun hitting it

My welding skills improved when I went to an auto-dark hood, started using my glasses & put a stronger light on the area. A strong light can be tricky with an auto-dark but got used to that real quick. Congrats on the TIG... having good equipt is always worth the $$$ IMO & I've always been a Miller fan!
