I was blessed with the opportunity to take my grandson on a youth cow elk hunt over the Thanksgiving holiday.

There's nothing better than being in the woods in the fall with family.

Caleb got his elk one evening at 5:05. By the time we got it dressed out, back to camp, the meat taken care of and hung to cool it was midnight. I'm getting too old for this but it was worth it.

He learned that there is a lot more to hunting than just pulling the trigger. He handled himself like a young man that I'm proud to call my grandson.

awesome. The hunt with the young man was worth a million. The kill was just added fun. Keep it up my friend and he will never forget the true meaning of family.

That's a wonderful thing you done.
He'll have learned the correct way to hunt and take care of the bounty!!!!!!

know what you done??

You made a "LIFE TIME" memory. Grandpa and grandson are the best memories. For me it is difficult to make more good memories. I have many with my son and grandson. Some with both. Its hard to tell which is best.

Oh hell, their are all wonderful.

Thanks guys. He's a good kid and he likes hanging around with me.

He likes hunting, hot rods and guns. How can you go wrong there?

Back strap's in the smoker for tonight Smallfoot.
