hard line

anyone with any experience bending hard line? i have 2 diff benders, but still cant make it look good, keeps wanting to kink. any tricks, working with 5/16 fuel line.

You can fill them with sand, and they won't kink. 5/16 might have to use something finer than sand. Just make sure you flush them out really well.

I have a bender like this and it works great on steel and copper, just doesnt make tight corners in brake lines though.

I use the spring type alot and never had a problem. If your using one of styles with the handles I have found that a little grease where there's metal on metal contact helps. It lets it slid instead of bind.

are you sure you're in the correct 5/16 slot in your bender? i've done that a few times, get distracted and just slap it in and get a shiny new kinked piece of junk... never had that problem when i pay attention though.
