Welcome to RRR,1937RR. Nice start to what looks like a neat project. Either motor would be good in this truck.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I hope to have an engine soon. 4cyl. turbo diesels seem to be hard to find. Thanks again for all the welcomes.

Found a 58 chevy truck for damn near free that has the complete rear end and I beam. Any advice for attaching a buggy spring and wishbones to that style I beam?

hey there are a couple of different ways to attach a buggy spring to those axles-one option is to clean up the mount surfaces and weld on a bat-wing style flange Dogpatch1 and PA41 have both used this method-prob others....
the other way is to fab a bracket to bolt to the axle's orig. locating holes and "go from there" with spring-pivot and radius rod/4 bar mounts....
roddguy and others have successfully done this as well

either way, a GOOD WELD is still the key to making it all work[;)

keep us posted-maybe get a build thread if ya haven't already....[P[P
