I have always had “classic “hot rods and restored antique trucks …. That all changed when I attended a Jalopy Showdown in Beaver Spring Pa. a couple of years ago and saw how customizing really worked and was hooked on the” Rat” look .
I retired to northern Michigan and started collecting some pretty good barn / field finds at good prices and my first build is a 1966 Chevy truck that I am laying the frame and going from there. I picked this truck because about 30 years ago it was covered with …….. carpet…………. as a promotion of a carpet shop . After 20 years sitting outside the carpet is gone and the glue caramelized into what looks like a lizard / snake skin all over it.
As soon as I figure this site out I will post pictures and a build thread.
