Hey V-DUB guys!!! i need help!

ok i got this 73 beetle, for my niece i need some sites where to find parets for the solex34,, and other things, i am building it for her as a dailey,,, the car runs good but i have to run it with the choke completely close , and it needs rebuilt, but not able to find much on the solex34,, or is there something that would be good to swap it with,, shes 16 and doesnt need a hotrod, just one that looks like a hot rod!! so far the plans are black with pink and lime greeen flames,!!!! any help would be great!! shes a good kid and i want this to be a good time for her , shes goin to help me and wants to so here we go !! thanks RTD

Answer:
Replace all the intake gaskets it might be sucking air at the heads, And adjust the valves. Valves to tight no vacuum..
