Hot Rod Reunion Bakersfield

so i just got back from the HRR at Famoso Raceway at Bakersfield Ca. me an' a buddy drove my 59 Impala 2700 miles round trip. we drove a total of 52 hrs, burned $750 of gas and 3 quarts of oil. cruising the freeways at 75-80mph we passed a lot of cars and got a lotta 'thumbs up!' the old Imp never missed a beat, except i did have to change out a turn signal flasher... as i pulled into my driveway on the trip home, the odometer rolled over to 31,000 original miles. so that means i've put on almost 11,000 miles in the past 4 summers.....
