Very cool photo. The guys who drove those short wb rockets had to have either a lot of guts or no brains. Real pioneers of the sport.

Definitely. It is amazing what a lot of those guys accomplished, especially Mickey Thompson. For instance, as the story goes, he sketched out the chassis for the Challenger 1 with chalk on his garage floor and just started building it. Genius. I really admire those guys.
