hey BUSTEDKNUCKLE! definitly different setup with the rear end. ive built 5 subarus in my life and im worried about the rear that your gonna use. what kinda subaru did the rear come out of? with a 302 its gonna destroy the spider gears in the case of a r160 rear. i would suggest a rear from a 04+ sti or even a nissan r200 rear.

WORK

Wes finished the rear last week so we moved to the front suspention, we cut off the front rails and ran a independent front with disc brakes and rack and pinion. It was pretty easy, He should have it all welded in in a few days. We mocked it up with fenders and hood. it looks very cool. He also picked uped a bed and rear fenders (free) got to like that. I tacked in the rear window, looks like its going to work fine. Well here is some pics of our progress.

Motor

Wes and I have made more progress on his build, he finished the the front and installed the motor. He is running a 289 w/c4. We made the bed fit and ready to put cab back on the frame to help line up hood assembly. Here is some pics.

Bed

Wes and Robert got the bed mocked up today, They shortend it 16 inches, fits really well with the cab. They also got the fenders installed. This truck is really starting to come togeather, maybe by June it will be running. I have to say Robert`s idea of running the running the fenders backwards looks pretty cool.
