Can a late 40s early 50s GMC truck be converted to a Chevy front end with the bar grill EASILY? From pics, the front fenders and cab look very similar (as do most chevy-gmc trucks), but the hood of the GMC has a notch in the front where it meets the grill. Are the hood and the grill the only difference?

I am looking for a truck and if this is possible it would help expand my search options...i just like the chevy front end way better...dont mean to offend anyone with a GMC of course, just personal preference.

Thanks for the help.

You will definitely have to chenge the hood, and possibly the fenders depending on the exact year. Other than a few holes and such the cabs are identical. Core support is a little different, but not a difficult swap by any means. I think the GMC front ends are much better than the boring Chevy, but whatever turns your crank... [ddev
