We made it to the car show Saturday, all in all had a pretty good time.
Wow, almost the next weekend before I’ve gotten a chance to post this.
I know for next time that I have to make sure they put my car in the proper category.
There were only 2 rats at the show and they judged each of us in different categories.
Our Dodge got judged as a street rod and the other rat got judged in the unfinished class.
Got 3rd, out of what I counted was 6 cars (actual street rods), just not certain they were all put in the right category.
When I registered I wrote down rat rod on my sheet, they didn’t have that on the list so the girl changed it to street rod. The other guy wrote unfinished and they had that on the list so that was where his stayed.
I’ll know to pay better attention next time.
I wasn’t very impressed with the turnout, 80 cars total and about half should have been out in the spectator parking. One of the ones I felt shouldn’t have been shown; the owner was completely dismayed that he wasn’t taking home a trophy. Maybe it’s just been way too long since I had something to take to a show, but still, WTF are some people thinking? [S
I did take pictures, mainly of what I thought should be there, a few of the “others” snuck in.
