I really don't know anything about cars let alone building rat rods, but I have a strong desire to start learning so my son won't be in the same boat as he gets older. If there is anybody in sw Minnesota who would like to act as a type of mentor to teach this teacher something I would forever be grateful... And so would my son.

Welcome to the site and most likely you'll get an offer.
It's easier with someone with no preconceived ideas and just questions :cool:

Welcome to RRR!

Do you know how to weld? That's a real handy skill to have (but not necessary). If not, I would suggest finding a 50's car that is already a driver. Learn on it, make it your own, and then move on to something even more challenging.

cool

cherish the time with your'e son, it seems to by real fast.

doing a car/truck together is a great way to bond and make a good relationship that'll last with your'e kids.

my grandfather, dad and l raced, built hot rods and helped each other for 25 years and l think those were the best times of my life:D{even if l didn't relize it at the time}

L:cool:
