my 64 chevelle project

first off this site kicks ass!

I got a notice from the city last week asking me to remove my car from my drive way as it was violating city ordnance and i had no place to take it...but a buddy of mine came through and is letting me store and work on it in his garage!

I am a youngster to the game and this is my first build. I thought I'd post some pics of my progress, since I ask a million questions on here.

I might wait on the rest of the cosmetics and drop the engine and trans in and get this thing running!

You're doing a great job there. To bad the city can't appreciate nice tin. Same thing happened to me with a 62 Impala 2 dr hardtop. I was restoring it my parents driveway in 1979 and 80. Amazing how much progress is made once you get the letter from the city.

Any how, looks like you have a great looking project going there. Looks like you did a nice job smoothing out the fire wall and cleaning her up!!! Keep up the good work.

Very nice..I drove and raced a 64 Malibu SS for years..Loved that car..Mine came with the high performance (LOL) 230 straight 6 with a bunch of factory chrome accessories on it..I pulled it out and put a tunnel rammed SBC in it..Keep the updates coming..

As long as you have a garage to work in, I wouldn’t rush anything. Body doesn’t look like it has a whole lot left to get ready for paint.
