about 50 years old.

grew up in nebraska-colorado. somehow ended up in tennessee

memorable stuff I've owned:

'41 john deere B (cast rear, sneezers, magneto)

'65 corvair

series of vw bugs '67 to '71

'63 chevyII nova convertible straight-6 ($500)

'69 chev blazer with full removable top ($750)

'84 vette

'80 datsun truck

'99 s10 truck

a few ford f150's

'68 mustang coupe

'91 mustang GT convertible 5.0

'66 factory 5 cobra replica -5.0 ($22k)
( a rich man's car- cost me a fortune in insurance, tickets and tires!)

'75 mercedes 240d

'71 mach 1 mustang fastback 351 -- owned briefly in 1978, my 1st "flat black" "ratty" car cragar mags -- BIG wide tries in back and jacked up suspension, that made the rear window more of a "skylight"-- with (dont laugh) orange shag pile carpet in interior

I wish I had some land to park old cars when they die, and I still have some/or all of these. sigh.

current cars (you can tell I HATE OBD-II -- I have 1 car from the 60's, the 70's,
the 80's and 2 from the the 90's-- rather than one new reliable car, a fleet
of semi-reliable cars-- maybe ONE will start

-==-=-=-=-=-

95 miata $1600 beater
95 altima $700 beater
'63 mercury comet convertible 170 cu in 6 ( the BIG engine -- the smaller
one is the 144cu in) with severe pan rust (should get it finished and
running any year now)

'79 dodge d100 truck 318 cu in - 3 on the tree

'63 mercury comet convertible 170 cu in straight 6

'83 toyota truck-- I keep taking parts off and it is looking less like
a toyota truck and more like a farm implement. running 33 ford vicky
rims on the front with coker bias plys. f150 wide rear axle, plan to cut
off top of cab and make a surf woodie ratrod with a nod to the beverly hillbillies truckster. have about $800 into it so far. It has rust and
termites.

It seems to **** off alot of people at car shows (which MAY be my aim...)
old school detroit iron perfect trailer queen owners AND the ricer crowd.

people have gotten most upset about the dragging wires. (not really connected to anything--I think) my friends cant beleive I have not
gotten a ticket-- including my sheriff friend. -- he complained I need rear fenders, so I put on swim fins as fenders --at least they are waterproof --

and then he complained that they were not DOT approved. Gee, you cant please some people...... =)

I'd love a '30's ford tudor-fodor chopped/channelled/straight 6 or 8 engine. but I aint got that kind of money nor do I think I will anytime soon.

I'd build it myself. I am VERY good taking cars apart, but not so good putting them back together and getting them running.

my favorite motto's:

"Keep it simple, stupid"

"Being normal is over-rated"

"The one who dies with the most toys... is still dead"

"Cheap cars and expensive garages" ( possibly with a small house attached)

"It is surprisingly expensive to look this cheap" -Dolly Parton

"If you lose, dont lose the lesson"

"If you like what you have, you have what you like"

"I'm anti-anti"

I think my family's motto is "cut to fit, paint to match"

well, gotta walk the dogs and do some welding and off to work -- that cheeze aint gonna slice itself!

And yes, my girlfriend Tambrea is VERY tolerant -- it helps that I keep her subaru running.

Her 1st car was a triumph TR4 that burst into flames one sunny 1976 day
on a LA freeway.

Great site. keep on ratting and rodding

Welcome! You've had some interesting vehicles to say the least, but you're having fun with them and that's all that really counts!.[cl..Smart man to keep that Subaru running!:D....CR

I think you might have the longest intro ever. And, uh, that Toyota is hideous. It's like deconstruction art. The Ford rims really do it. Seems to be missing something though.... Oh, I know, orange shag! :D:D

Great intro, you have some fun don't you?

I have spent time with a Johnny Popper myself, as well as some others on your list. I already like seeing what you have to say, keep up the good work.
