Need a helmet

Hey y'all,

My daddy just got a '51 harley and I need to buy a helmet so I can go cruisin with him. I was wondering what you guys think of just any old helmet or should I get something specific to go with the older look? I was looking at this motorcycle website for helmets and was wonderin if those types of helmets are okay? I'm not too sure about what I should be spending for one. I'd ask my daddy but most of the time he doesn't even wear a helmet.

Welcome Jami...I recently bought an open face DOT approved helmet on ebay for $50 new. Helmets will keep your hair from becomming a rats nest from the wind and a face shield protects you form the sting of sand, gravel and bugs hitting your face. Helmets are useless in high speed accidents as your dad no doubt knows. Have fun riding that classic pan.
