no park lights

[barebones]

wiring up the light switch from scratch pulled the wiring harness from a 83 chevy van.I have power to the headlights when the switch is pulled out all the way.I made sure all the ground wires were grounded to the body just to illuminate that .When I pull the switch to it's middle section I have no park,dome,or courtesy lights.I'm wondering if
1 the switch is bad
2 turn signal switch powers the park lights since they are on the same circut,and I have no insturment panel lights

Rat Rods don't need "park, dome or courtesy" lights. Everythings OK!

On an 80's you should have running lights with the headlights. Are all lights lit when the switch is all out?

On newer vehicles the dash lights and taillights are on the same circuit. I would start by checking the fuse for that circuit.
