I hand made the oil tank on my shovel head ,and have som small leaks .
does any one know of a real good sealer for it,some thing that want come off and go through the oil pump?
And has anyone tryed doing body work on an oil tank and had any luck with it holding?

Mig welded in and out side when i built it .
It's not rubber mounted ,vibrations could be a big factor in the leaks[cracks maybe?]

did all that man ,even air presure tested it before i painted it and was good to go .but after i started riding the leaks showed up,i dont get it, harlys dont even got big oil presure.
Used 18 gauge steel .mig welded inside and out side ,and was real carful not to grind too mutch.
when i worked at the chopper shop i built tanks the same way and didnt have any problems [but they were sealed with some red rubbry stuff from the radiator shop]
looks like pin holes to me . i think i'll try to build a new one this winter ?
