Orignal Mooneyes valve covers?

A buddy of mine has a set of what he thinks are orignal mooneyes valve covers for a sbc. The part number on the inside is NN49 they are in sweet shape, still have the moon eye stickerson them. They came with a parts lot he got from an old garage.

Any idea where too look to verify these things are what he thinks? I may have an option to pick them up cheep, but I am not sure what they are worth.

Brand new, they are $215. With breathers, $324.

Yea I saw them, thats why I ask, wasnt sure if that was a fair price, a deal or too much cash? Also is there a way to tell if they are defentily orignals?

If there is, I don't know how. Call moon and ask. It's Friday, they should be in.

The small block Chevy valve covers that Moon currently lists do not have the center Mooneyes medallion and carry a different part number. Like Don said, I would give Moon a call and see if they can give you some info.

Price of the covers might not be bad but shipping cost is near stupid.
