Owner of Hotrodders.com forum being sued by Street Beasts company.....

The owner of the hotrodders.com site that I belong to is being sued in a frivolous lawsuit over comments made about the quality of the Street Beasts kit cars....You should look into this, as your freedom of speech is at stake here.......more here......

The WIKI brings me here to ask for your help on behalf of our Passionate Hobby & Profession.

A member of Hr.com posted a thread stating he was thinking of purchasing a Streetbeasts kit it was suggested that he do his home work.

I also feel compelled to spread this around & ask for anyone who is willing to help to do so.

The Owner of HR.com has battled with the Australian government On the subject of Freedom of Speech & won the battle.

what did they say about Street Beasts? was it that bad? Don't know too much about the company, but i haven't heard anything good about them yet!......CR

If you open the link to hotrodders you will see the thread started in 2001 and has volumes of posts. Then you see that hotrodders.com seems to have went after Streetbeasts, to the best of my ciphering, and promoted the Wiki article which was not kind to SB in any way. Mostly facts but definately an undertow of vengance it seemed. To the best of my adding it all up, the lawsuit might have came on the tails of the Wiki print, not from the longwinded bitch-a-thon thread. The whole thing has me a little baffled. I didn't realize Wiki would print damaging allegations about companies.
The lawsuit seems to teeter on the right to free speech issue but we also have laws allowing for civil lawsuits of liable and slander (which seldom get won btw)
