I'm shortening my bobber p.u. chassis . I'm stubbing the rear of the chassis with 2x4 tubing .

Does anyone use coil springs from other cars for mounting the rear ends anymore ? If so , what's a good choice of spring ?

I just prefer the look over coil overs .

Thx

I was meaning that I like the look of a conventional coil spring better than coil overs.

I use the coil over springs all by themselves. In the old days we used Corvair front coils in the rear. Noticed Ford Festivas or maybe Fiestas have a light weight coil in the rear. Must be a very light spring rate though.

In the Speedway race catalog there are 5" by 10 1/2" and 13" and 16" coils with rates from 125 lbs/inch to 575 lbs/inch for $39.99 each.
