Strange Casting Number

Was told my SBC was a 305 out of a truck. Now I chequed heads, they are the crappy 462624 kind,but from what I found came on 350 's ,so went to check block,its a one piece seal, but where casting number is supposed to be all it has is GM 5LG . Thats it no normal casting number anywhere. anyone seen this or know anything about it?

I might be wrong but isnt 5LG equate to 5L = 5.0 liter. G = G Van body? i could be wrong

could be, guess I will find out when I take heads off and measure the bore.

Likley a late model tbi 305. The late 350 tbi say gm5.7lg so I am assumin just 5 means 5.0/305? Not sure why they would put those heads on there though.
