I got my 3/4 -16 tie rods today left and right, bought them at fishers auto parts ( federated ) spicer brand 401-1008 ( LH ) and 401-1009 ( RH ) the taper is larger than 7 deg. I think more like 10 deg. but I will take a die grinder to my 7 deg. holes and just open them up a little, the tie rods do have the castle nut with cotter pin so they should not come loose and they also have a greese fitting on the side, they were about $ 30.00 ea. but are the top of the line not the cheeper version, thanks for all the help and info on this, I will make sure the next set of bones have 11/16 bungs in them before I buy them, or no bungs at all, and go 11/16 much more common.
