Tire Sizes?

so my question is about tire sizes i have some 17" wire wheels (Plymouth) and they have some old rotten tires on them they are 525/550 17 and i plan on running them on the front but with new tires of course and was wanting to know if a 600 17 would work also

and what is the size difference between them

forgive me if this is a stupid question.

well i found out height difference but is the width going to affect anything?

If you are running them up front go with a 525/550 tire. The 600 is going to start to look a little bulky IMO, especially on a 17" wheel.

I agree with B.E.D. Might look too fat for the front.

Lucas Classic Tires sells a 525/550 blackwall from Denman and another from Lester.

the only thing that i can think of that the width is going to affect besides the look of the car is if you are going to rub on the wheel well/fender/frame. other then that, it all comes down to looks, price, availability.
