awesome

This truck is awesome! I LOVE the wheels. I love the look of the rusty cab and huge wheels. Will look even cooler when they have a brass finish.

Awesome truck. Keep up the good work.

Thank u Chipper!!!
Never know unless u try right??!!

I like the wheels - they make it very unique (for now). You will be leading the way especially, as they are becoming more available for cheap.

Great build!

Back half

Got you guys a few pics of tha Back Half as I was building it last week...
I'm stuck at work for a week or so now.... can't wait to get back to it

I got the back half Completly boxed...
Used 3/16" for tha Side Radius Pieces, and gusseted the front part of it
with 1/4" steel.... boxed that part with 1/4" Plate as well for Strength....
and used 1/8" x 2" Strap to form tha Box on tha top & Bottom of tha Radiuses!!
Fully welded.... and spent about 5 hrs grinding all tha Welds down smooth with tha Frame.... Just gotta spend about an Hour or so blasting over it with a 80 grit Flap Disc and it should be ready to weld in Place...

Rear Crossmember/ Airtank

So.... Bonehead talked me into Welding up tha Rear Crossmember/Airtank Myself rather then taking it somewhere to have it Tig Welded....
It turned out pretty Nice...
But I haven't had a chance to Plumb some Air to it yet....
that will be tha' Final Test!!
LOL.... Pray to tha Rat Rod God that I don't have any Pinholes to fix!!!!

Made from 3/16" & 1/4" steel.... this thing should be able to hold some
Air Pressure!! I'm hoping for about 160 Psi.... maybe more....

GREAT WORK MAN

Thanks for the motivation syndicate. It looks fantastic. I am going for something similar to what you are doing. Your thread has just really opened up my eyes to a few things. Thank you. I have a thread started in the builds section. It will be slow progression but have a few start pix

That is going to be one sick looking truck, bad too the bone.
Those big wheels suit that frame fabrication which looks absolutely top notch.
Going to keep an eye on this build.

that thing is a wicked slice of death! love it! gives me an idea for the extra 2 1/2 35 ford truck cabs and C4 vette suspension I got kicking around. Humm...... [;)[;)

Got Some More Pics

K Guys.....
I've really been slacking on my build thread...
but its only cause I have been slaving away on my Project, So.... um.....
does that count as an Excuse??

Nice Cold Beer, Much Deserved :D

Well.... I have tha Whole Back Half Fabricated, and It turned out alright..
still have some Finishing details to put on it, but that shouldn't be too bad...

never hurts to hear em' all!!!

I'm really starting to get antsy now
[;)
