I've had my 01 since I was 15, regardless it only has 34k miles on it and the motor/trans have maybe 400 on it since doing the swap but I've always loved the S series trucks and I drove that truck through everything even PA winters with drag radials it never failed me once even with a supercharger on the 4.3...

S Truck bashing

OK guys let's stop bashing the S Trucks. I have a 89(bought new in 89) with 490000 miles on it. 4 cyl 5spd that runs great, doesn't use a drop of oil(original 2.5), and still gets over 24mpg @ 70mph with a/c wide open. Have used it for work since new and love it!
