I think it would probably look better without the gaurds and bar....just the blade.

I think that the gaurds and top bar were a factory accessory for them. I may be wrong on that but I have seen a few truck with them and most without. I think a lot of trucks from the late thirties through probably early fifties had similar bumpers that would work. I bet that you could find something that would work in your local salvage yard if they have older stuff.

I definitely plan on getting a front bumper. I have a friend who has one off of a 1948 International pickup. I have a set of old round fenders but I want to find the flat ones.
A chop, That would be great! Just on a limited budget after the initial build.

How about just a simple 3/4" tube to define the edge and flat sheet metal for a top? Kinda like the rock crawler guys do...[

i was thinking of doing my willy cj2 with a toyota fwd running gear, that would upset some off a ww2 jeep with japanese fuel injection
