would i be able to run a 12 volt generator off a 50's chevy on my heap now i am running a 350 the only electrical stuff i will have will be my lights any advice?

Yeah, but you'll need the voltage regulator too. If you want the GEN for looks, go for it, otherwise why not find yourself a GM one wire?

i have a one wire now, but you hit the nail on the head i want it for looks the old gens just look kooler then the alts that you see everywhere ya know?
