Been trying for weeks to logon and just keep getting 'this site can't be reached'. Can anyone else access it or is it just me? I've got the roadster's entire build thread on there!
I replaced the drip rail on my '54 Ford. Made it outta 18ga sheetmetal and welded it on.

I bought the shortblock off of Ebay a few years back. It was built by MDS Racing in Texas. Bored .030 over, Wiseco pistons, Crower rods, balanced and blueprinted. BoPort did the head before he got famous so I got it cheap! T3 turbo, log manifold, rotated and gutted upper and ported lower...
I bought a Drill Doctor 20 years ago and haven't bought a new drill bit since. I have a couple of full drill indexes and lots of single loose bits. In the beginning, I sharpened every bit I had. I filled my indexes and stored all my single bits in one of these...
I wasn't sure what Steer Clear was until I Googled it. Steering box drop, right? Wizard Fabrication manufactures them. They're about 100 miles up the road from me. I wouldn't trust Speedway. Buy it directly from Wizard. About $50 cheaper than Speedway and shipping is $16. I'm sure theirs...
I might as well throw this out there too. Built my turbo heat shield out of a $4.99 Wal-Mart pot. Been running it for years!

I spent the last few days fabbing fuel lines, building brackets and trying to straighten out the engine control wiring mess that I have to deal with....
and yes, there are cheap EPS units in the 'yards. I got mine out of a '05 Saturn Vue. Got everything installed, start to finish for...
I figured I'd post this build on my two favorite sites! I try to fabricate as much as I can and do it cheaply. Hopefully, someone can glean some useful info from this thread. I began about a month ago. The build thread is actually on that other site so I'll just update that as I go along...
Well, I just did it and cleared the final hurdle - BAR inspection and smog exemption! After literally years of research, I've heard all the horror stories. None of which are true! Following all the rules, this was actually a pretty simple and painless process.
This is the vehicle in...
Goes like a bat outta hell and gets 30 mpg! I definitely need some lower gearing though. 3:1 in the 8". The T5 is in 3rd gear on the freeway!
Picked one up off of FleaBay from an Audi S4.
Finally! 9 years and $4800 later I was able to take it to it's first show today. My better half striking a pose.....
Here's the build thread from that other site...…..
