OI in the link, theres a suggestion that tapered bore allowed the air fuel mix to slow, and curve into the manifold runners smoothly , instead of dumping straight into the plenum, and having to think about which manifold runner... thanks Gene, is good to get a positive result for sure ...

ok Gurus, recently one of these carbs has come up for sale near me. this model suits a 4.3L or 262cui V6 . Now a Stude 259 is similar , and while ive rebuilt and the stude runs gooder with the 1403 currently fitted, (im happy with it) at 500cfm this carb seems a little overkill ...
