What Buffed Satin Single Stage/blitz black looks like

I did try that on a spot yesterday. Honestly it does nothing for me. I find it too shiny for how rough it is. The sanded and buffed is a way better vintage look.

    Side shot Saturday!

There's one of these in Washington that looks like this but has a nicely done 455 swap.

What Buffed Satin Single Stage/blitz black looks like

That's actually kind of the look I want on my Roadster pickup haha.

What Buffed Satin Single Stage/blitz black looks like

Wouldn't buffed matte turn out satin? The blitz black isn't matte/flat either, it's satin. You can see the sheen on it in my photos. I didn't try that this time as it wasn't what I was trying to do, and I think it would be very difficult to get an even gloss level.

What Buffed Satin Single Stage/blitz black looks like

I did a quick experiment the other night to see what sanded and buffed Blitz Black looked like. I had painted a headlight bucket for my 28 with John Deere Blitz Black a couple years ago as an experiment for what look I like. Since I'm going to strip it back down anyways to prep and paint with...

Those quarters look cherry! Nice find! The Plymouth is a Suburban, they used that name for a bit back then. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing! Looks like I could spend hours there!

    Some sunrise pictures

It truly depends on how intense they are. Where I am, I see them several times a year. I'm two miles from the city lights and still have quite a bit of light pollution. Here we see them all around, not just to the north.

Wow, you can keep it for at least a few weeks. Still none here.

    Hi, my name is brian

My wife's Toyota has it too. I actually really like the way it functions 90% of the time. The lane departure stuff on it sucks though. Hers can all be turned off.

It's definitely getting there. I forgot that I had to replace my brand new steel core valve cover gaskets from TA Performance because they leaked (outside rubber is too hard) with a set of cork-rubber gaskets from Edelbrock which seem to be great. I could throw it in the shed and bring...

Getting the wife on board took a while, but now I should be set for years. I'm actually excited for the prospect of snow, haha.

I've got a 1" rear sway bar on it but I think I'm going to try to disconnect it again. Now that I've got the engine sorted, the torque reaction of the rear end is a bit much and it snaps back a bit too much when it breaks traction.

That's great. It would suck to have to buy the same stuff all over again.

I also picked up a new snow clearing toy Saturday to go with the newer tractor I got in the spring. It's about a 5-minute job to go from loader to snowblower. Overall a successful weekend.

Finally I can say I solved my stumble. The pickup in the fuel tank had rubber hose that was collapsing under various loads. I put in a new tank with a steel pickup and a sock on the pickup. I refinished the bed floor, twice because the first stain I tried was patchy. Built a new fuel filler...
