Nice job on the metal repurpose!

Tail lights are mounted. I cut the plates off of the 1937 car tail light mounts and welded them back on after turning them 90 degrees so they would be vertical and mounted them to the stake pockets

Could you cut the shock mounts off and install the axle so that the cut off side of the axle is facing rearward? It wouldn't be as noticeable.
