International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Got the lights done. Pretty neat result I think. And quite functional. Here's a couple videos of them. https://youtu.be/Gi5C1IzQl1k https://youtu.be/EoE0Xct3h2Q

That's exactly what I did. Bama mentioned the same thing on my other thread. Simple fix. I think I was up too late trying to overcomplicate it :)

1935 Chevy Car headlight reflectors, copper or .....?

Dang! Why didn't I think of that! Simple simple. Must have stayed up to late last night trying to think about this  Thanks for showing me the light Bama!

1935 Chevy Car headlight reflectors, copper or .....?

So about the High/low selection now. So, as normal, I have 1 wire for low beam. One for High beam. The bulb is one filament. So, naturally, I hook up low beam power to the bulb. Easy right? Now, the high beam in the headlight is just a small solenoid that flips up the cutoff sheild. It needs...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Got the projectors today. So here we go. These are Bi-xenon projectors, tho I'll be using halogen bulbs in them. H1 bulbs to be exact. Those who aren't familiar with bi projectors, they use a single filament bulb, and when you flip on the high beams, a small shield flips up. The sheild is...

Going to post this here and in my build thread, just for those who are following. Got the projectors today. So here we go. These are Bi-xenon projectors, tho I'll be using halogen bulbs in them. H1 bulbs to be exact. Those who aren't familiar with bi projectors, they use a single filament...

1935 Chevy Car headlight reflectors, copper or .....?

Arghhhh! Your a day too late! Well, a few days. I ordered up the projector housings and got them in the mail today. I already added signals/parking lights in the reflectors this weekend too :) I had no idea those would be the same size! If I had known that, I probably would have gone that...

Can someone bead roll something for me?

Yeah it's pretty stout stuff! I was thinking of using thin material to bead roll, then back it up with another layer inside, and spot weld them all together. Thanks for the comment on the truck! Went to a show this weekend (horrid hill climb, posted on another thread here) this weekend and...

Can someone bead roll something for me?

Hum. Hammerforming you say? That's not a bad idea. I could print out the text in whatever (simplest) font, transfer that to card paper. Cut out the text, transfer to plywood, cut that out. Bolt it over the front. Re-use the car paper template on the back side of the work piece to outline...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Time to actually mount the bed (instead of relying on clamps to hold it on) :) When I installed the panhard bar, i centered the axle between the frame at ride height. I got it to within a 16th of inch. But I noticed the tire was closer to the inside of the drivers side fender than the...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Been plugging away at little stuff. The last big cruise that happens the first Saturday of every month is next month. I've failed to make it to the other two shows I really wanted the truck in, so I'm pushing hard to make this one. I got the bed sides sectioned to raise the fenders up for tire...

Can someone bead roll something for me?

I've got an old ford tailgate for my project international, cause I can't find an international tailgate easily. I'm thinking of bead rolling "Not A" or "Just the tailgate is a", or anything else witty above the factory Ford script. I only have about 4.5" by 29" to work with and I'd like to...

61 Volkswagen V8 Single Cab Street Rod

Can you tell me about the AC unit? I'm thinking of running AC in mine but haven't really found a nice small one.

1935 Chevy Car headlight reflectors, copper or .....?

Mostly because I can't leave well enough alone. But the theory is i want to keep the look of the old school headlights, but have a better, more useable light for country driving. The silver on the reflectors isn't in that great of shape and I need good light for night driving in the boonies...

1935 Chevy Car headlight reflectors, copper or .....?

I have a set of 1935 Chevy Sedan headlights. I am going to retrofit projector housings in the reflector bowls but they are not steel. They look to be copper or brass. Anyone know for sure what material It is? I'm planning on extending the rear of the reflector into the buckets a bit in order...

    51 International Budget Build

My heart goes out to you brother. Pets are like family, and it's hard letting family go. The wheels and tires look fabtastic though! Take the time for the show. I find shows to be somewhat therapeutic. I don't know if it's the cars, or the thought of all the work that everyone put into...

    Let's talk glass

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. But at $45, it doesn't sting as much when you crack one. Is PGW Pittsburgh glass works? If so, yes I do have one.

    Vintage headlight, sealed beam conversion?

Just found a tiny number inside the lens. Says 915 986. Turns out it's for 1934 Chevrolet Master Deluxe and 1/2 Ton Commercial 1935 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. So that helps.

    Vintage headlight, sealed beam conversion?

I'm about to the point where I need lights. Headlights, to me are pretty important living deep in the sticks. I need to see the deer coming :D I've got a pair of headlights from an unknown year Chevy. Anyone know what year these are from? That might help my search for a sealed beam or h4...
