    Let's talk glass

To me, glass is a few things. Some of it I can see my pretty face in. Other glass I can see through. Both types are hard and brittle. Glass, like everything, is what it is, till yup really get into it. Take tires for example. To the normal Joe, a tire is a tire. Until you have about half a...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

With that behind me, I needed to get the cooling system in order. After fighting the hoses for a couple hours, I got the hooked up. Figured I better test with air prior to filling to make sure we're set. It held 20 psi, so I'm confident it's a winner. Tonight I figured I should make the...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

I roughed up the surface a bit. (After working through the next few steps, I don't like this finish. I wish i would have done a straight brushed loo.pk with straight lines. But I'm not RE-doing it now. You'll see why in a moment :) ) With that done I needed to secure it. I decided to go...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

I just had to make one more video. Here's a picture from the video :D https://youtu.be/_kH5CuqkV0E Now, with that behind us......back to work. I and to move the radiator and intercooler forward 1" to gain clearance at the crank pulley. Doing this messed up the holes alignment in the top of...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

It drives!!! https://youtu.be/yQ5pjQATsgE Pretty freakin excited about this. Sadly, I'm a few days away from the 6 year anniversary of starting the project :/ But still. I'm even more excited that it appears everything works the first try! I have leans on the inlet/outlet for the trans...

How I legally registered my rat rod with no title

Gladly! I've been racking my brain on how I was going to accomplish this for the past 5 years once I realized my error. Odd thing is they don't even ask for proof of insurance. I've heard colorado is one of a handful of places that required insurance before registering a vehicle. That seems...

    51 International Budget Build

Dang! The urethane actually looks pretty dang good! If I fight more then 2 pieces of glass into the factory style rubber, I might just go this route. You won't have to have the cuts exactly perfect with this method too, which is a plus.

Which power steering fluid do I use?

I'm tempt d to use ATF 4, since the trans takes that anyways. I'm not seeing anything saying NOT to do that.

Which power steering fluid do I use?

Hydroboost from a 1990 Chevy K3500 Power steering pump from an 80's Chevy p30 step ban with 4bt cummins. Power steering gear from a 79 Chevy c10. Does it matter what fluid I use? I haven't looked into each of these to see what each requires yet.

And also a picture of the finished install close up of the urethane? Curious to see how that looks vs factory rubber.

    51 International Budget Build

I hear ya on stressing on cutting glass. I opted to split my windsheild because I can't find new glass for my truck for less then $500 and can't bring myself to cut, then subsequently break a $500 piece of glass. I figure I can get modern car glass for $150 x2 and when I break one, hopefully...

    The tv video (with hotrod)

This is fantastic! I think the best part is knowing the name on this forum, but finally getting to out a face to it. We all have many many other things going on outside the forum, and it's awesome to see the other things you do! You sure seem like a fella I'd get along great with if we were...

    Happy birthday jmlcolorado

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! It's a somber dat for me, as my dad and I shared the same birthday. However, he passed away on 8/4 after a solid 81 years. But I take solace in knowing he's watching from a better place.

How I legally registered my rat rod with no title

Sounds exactly the same. I agree, this is not a good option for a parts car, unless you're okay with paying the price. I wasn't able to have it appraised, since I'm not in the state I was registering in. But at the same time, I didn't mind paying the 6% on the nanda to get legit tags. Of...

    Photoshop gurus?

Hum. Bummer. It's going to be tough to get a higher resolution photo since the truck isn't in its previous state anymore. I appreciate your advice! I'll reach out to Dr. c. This photo resolution talk just went right over the top of my head :)

    Photoshop gurus?

This is EXACTLY what I needed!! The wife is working on getting a large canvas print of this for my birthday. The hopes is to get another of the truck "finished" in the same location one of these days. THANK YOU! This is offensive.........and exactly what my attempt looked like :D That's a...

    Photoshop gurus?

Can anyone photoshop out the two modern cars parked by the building? I don't care if traces are left behind like shadows or what not. Just trying to get those two to disappear. I can email a full resolution photo if needed.

How I legally registered my rat rod with no title

I made a rookie mistake on day 1 of my project. Picked up my 1950 international L110 from the junk yard. Of course, there was no title that came with it. Being caught up,in the moment of the build, I dragged it home, pulled off the body, chopped up the frame into small pieces and hauled it off...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Tada! Here it is sitting in place. Seems to fit nice and will hopefully pull loads of air through the radiator. This whole assembally is pretty large and hefty. I weighed it with the fan sitting in place and it came in at 88 lbs dry.
