    Identify this alternator

Probably a silly question to most. This came on my cummins 4bt. I assume it's a GM alternator. It has 2 posts 1 large post marked BAT 1 smaller post marked R. And a ground bolt. Looking to figure out the proper way to wire it. It does not have any spade connectors on it. I assume I need...

Trans cooler as power steering cooler?

I have a spare, fairly good sized transmission cooler. I WAS going to use an auxiliary cooler for the full manual 47re, however I decided to go a different route with my radiator. Went with an eBay 32 ford style radiator which had a built in Trans cooler. I don't want the aux cooler to go to...

    Painless performance, wiring help

I HATE inline fuses with a passion. If figured get the most I can, so I have the flexibility to do whatever I wanted in the future. Worse thing that happens is I end up with a handful of u I see circuits under the dash. This harness includes circuits for: 1-A/C & Heat 2-Accessory 3-Accessory...

    Painless performance, wiring help

Indeed! Good thing is I think the ONLY difference is if these wires are terminated through the bulkhead or not. In my case they were not, now they are. So no harm done. :D

    Painless performance, wiring help

Nevermind. I bought the muscle car kit, not the truck kit. Cars have all the tail lighting going through the interior to the rear. Trucks don't. I just terminated 5 wires at the bulkhead and moved on. Whoops. Live and learn.

    Painless performance, wiring help

I ordered a 28 circuit painless performance wiring harnes for my project and am starting to lay wiring out. I noticed that the "tail section" which contains the tail lights, turn signals, license plate light, backup lights and brake light wires are all located inside the cab. I got the bulkhead...

Got the other c-notch installed. What a pain! Mostly due to the air bag provisions. Clearance is tight, but that's what I expected. Drivers side Clearance at the diff to shock crossmember is tight too :) Passanger side. Also got the rear ride height sensors installed. Let the...

Fuel sending unit, no specs, which gauge?

So I bought a fuel tank for a 68-7? Chevy c10 off LMC. Came with the sending unit. I reached out to LMC truck to get the specs on the sending unit they sent so I can find a gauge to accurately read what fuel level is. They said " I did not have specs available for sending unit 32-4057 other...

I refused to drill all these holes from above the frame. Easiest way to drill. I'd rather lay on my back and push up anyways. T's nice working on it up this high. Almost want to wire the chassis while its way up here so I can just stand up to run it all and wrap in loom then secure

Well the goal tonight WAS to install both c-notches. Figured they were easy. I already had half the fram cut out. Just cut the rest and bolt it up. Riiiight. Remember I moved the rear ended forward 1 1/2"? Well that threw off the shape of the c-notch match I g the frame. I out it back to...

Got the heavy duty c-notches today. I opted for the heavy towing versions since I plan to haul motorcycles and buiodijg materials in the truck. I hope to actually use it as a truck. I won't ever hook a hitch to it. These things are seriously built! Look at the root weld on the right one...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

I spent the day cleaning shop and once it was clean, it felt too weird, so had to make a mess to feel better about myself. Decided to give mounting the ride height sensors a try. I have to redo the rear c-notch because I moved the trailing arm crossmember forward an inch to center the rear...

Probably should stick to steel lines. If these cause any problems, I'm ripping them out and putting in steel. Aluminum was hard to work with. Couldn't get a foot 180* bend without crushing it to save my life, and really didn't want to fill with sand. I thought the same thing about the yolk...

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

Made some progress today. When I took the cab off, I realized I never changed out the transmission crossmember. And output shaft angle was WAY off. So time to build a new crossmember. Sectioning to gain proper driveshaft angles. Bending up the fuel supply and return lines. This...
