Thanks earthman. They do still make them and people even use them on O2 sensors when the remove catilitic converters apperantly lol. I'd never seen them used before. Thanks again guys!

    Anyone ever seen these before?

I was helping my buddy work on his '65 Olds Jetstar 88 tonight and when we pulled the spark plugs on the driver's side we found something neither of us had seen before. I was wondering if anyone here has and what the heck they are exactly? IMG_20140627_205429_831 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr...

    A nube's search for vision

I think $1800 would be a decent price for the Pontiac, especially with a good title. It looks very solid. I would pass on the '33/34 Ford fordor for $3500, if it was a Tudor I could see paying that much but not a fordor lol. He has a lot of nice looking projects though and I'm sure you'll find...

    Making paint shiny

You might look into how model car builders polish enamel paints. Honestly though you'd be money ahead using a lacquer paint and clear, like duplicolor. I think you'd get a better shine and it'd last longer. You could also look into epoxy type paints or I'm sure there's some cheaper 2k urethane...

If you've got time to waste...

Starting it on the ground I understand, but I would have at least used a ratchet strap and put headers on it so not to burn a valve lol. I've started them on regular engine stands before and it worked fine. I have never used a grinder on internal engine parts before and I dang sure always use...

29,30,31, Model A Coupe, Roadster, Super Patina, Rat Rod Build

You'll probably have to buy a kit and cut up the pactory headers. Gt40 heads take different header flanges then a regular 302. Is that an explorer engine?

    A nube's search for vision

I thought it was around a 40-41 but didn't look at the pics real close lol. I actually missed out on a '41 fordor sedan a couple months back and really would like to find one in the future.

    A nube's search for vision

I agree, I'd keep it a Fodor. Loose the trunk and rear axle but keep the wheels. Heck I'd buy the cowl laying on the ground behind it lol. Also that ford Tudor sedan you found on the way home is exactly what I'm wanting to build after I finish and sell my truck.

Restoration quality seals? ford F-1 cowl vent seal

Have you tried LMC truck? They make some nice stuff and might just have what you need.

3" Drop Axle with Cross Steering Setup

I think the fords are 3 3/8 on center, but that's off the top of my head and may not be correct.

3" Drop Axle with Cross Steering Setup

I would imagine if you needed new steering arms RPM(easyTbucket) could easily make you some. Other then that I got nothing to help lol.

    Axle ID

I'm with Torchie, looks like 32-33 or so Chevy. On a side note that tow-bar is pretty cool.
