37 Plymouth pick up. Total Resto

Fantastic job, the old girl looks great. Its funny how people don't realize how many companies produced trucks back in the day, like Mercury Plymouth and others buy they are some sharp looking trucks. Great job!

    Need some input.

Ha that's funny. My first car I bought was a '75 4 door Nova and I was told it had a Corvette motor in it. I didn't think anything of it since it was just a Chevy and had a 2 barrel carb, but ran the numbers and it turned out to be a LT1 4 bolt main that could've came from a Corvette lol.

1946 Chevy Bobber Truck Chop Build

Very nice looking truck. I'm building one very similar using a '42 Chevy cab. If you go to goodguys maybe I'll see ya there. Do you hit any of the local cruise in's?

Power washer - small dia. hoses; pump oil

On the pressure washer I had there was a small hose for a pressure bypass when it was running but you weren't squeezing the handle, maybe that's what it is?

Power washer - small dia. hoses; pump oil

This might help with the soap dispensing. http://www.shopyourway.com/m/questions/1177259

Power washer - small dia. hoses; pump oil

Try searching "pressure washer pump oil" instead of power. Should come up with a bunch of helpful results.

    Front axle options

From what I've read you should only run a 4 link with tube front axles, but I'm sure someone with real experience will give you a better answer.

    What is this engine

I thought it might be a caddy v12 but all the pics I found online had stamped rocker covers. Very cool!

    What is this engine

I'm not sure either, but it looks like it has more then 8 leads coming off the distributor cap to me.

    Iowa title question?

That's a good link. Also look into a bonded title, that's what the court house told me would be the easiest and probably cheapest method.

    Well I guess it's started

Awesome! I like the knobs and they have meaning behind them which just makes em better!

    Vegas Rat Rods

My dad said he watched this the other day. He was saying most the builds were crappy looking rusted out junk ( read the typical stereotype for rat rod anymore) and there was one build that was done extremely well and even painted up. The guys on the show were giving the guy with the painted up...

    VW Project

I like the idea. If I was you I'd look into the square backs as well, they're usually cheaper. I think any VW would work and make a cool project though.

    Loaded question

What size amp is pushing your subs? And are you running a cap on the amp? I've had this problem in newer vehicles and its usually a bad ground or just too much amp for the charging system.

    Advice: Contact former owners?

What are the abandoned vehicle laws in the state where the car is. That might be worth looking into since you've owned it for so long. Otherwise I'd go with what Tripper suggests.

I don't know if you have it in Canada lol, but "Heat" or seafoam or stabil should help out with the ethanol drawing moisture. I run ethanol blend fuel in everything I own except my motorcycle, it only gets 91 octane premium. The build is looking great, don't stray to far from your plan!
  18. JBailey

    what wheelbase you running?

That's pretty long lol. My wheelbase will be somewhere around 113-115", not to far off from the original. I bet your truck will ride smooth as silk though.

    What body is this

Doesn't look like a ford cowl to me. The Model T's had a cowl vent and the A's had a gas tank instead. Do you have any side shots of the cowl, to see the body lines?
