I have used lots of different things. Plywood bottoms covered in 2" foam with WW2 backpack frames for the backside. Recovered seats from a people for people bus, factory bench seats reupholster with added blustering. I have driven all of them in long road trips. No complaints

Yeah the half ton hoods are different. I actually found a good kind of overhead view of a one and a half ton truck you can see the difference in the front

So I found out yesterday that my good friend Gary had his hot rod smashed by a tree last week and a big wind storm they had on the coast. We are in need of a 40,41 Ford big truck hood. I know it will be a hard one to locate, but it's worth a shot!!

Do some measuring. Especially if you can buy that crown Vic for $150. Those front cross members on bolt with four bolts drop the main cross member down and then there's eight bolts that drop the where are the lower arm out. I almost bet money that it's pretty much a bolting deal to that frame on...

Throw all that stuff away put a crown Vic under it
