Years ago a local salvage yard owner near me was doing similiar..he was cutting the floors out of old cars, sittin the body on the ground and growing weeds that some use for "medicinal" purposes in them..:D:D He got busted but died of a heart attack before he could start his sentence..

Doesn't take long does it? I am the master of making a huge mess in a hurry, not so much on cleaning it back up though:rolleyes: Looking forward to the build..

Very cool stuff,I think that was a good decision..I've always wanted to build one of the flat fendered Jeeps with the front axle about where you have put yours..

Put that motor in your IH..they fit easily and will triple your horsepower..and you cab buy parts for it at Autozone:D

I bought 10" wide outer rims from speedway and welded them onto old centers..I got them to .020 runout and wondered if that was close enough..I took my wheel and my tire to get it mounted..it didn't need any weights to balance..I bet the .050 and .060 wheels would be just fine too..

I hope you can buy the one you want, but looks like most any of them would work just fine..congrats on the find..keep us posted..

Wheels are probably worth $600, use them or sell them..He's asking $2500, probably get it bought for $2200, minus $600 if you don't want to use the wheels..Rolling chassis for $1600 seems like a bargain to me.. Tim
